I am back at my parental home for a month this summer, and I am spending at least some of this month clearing out my room. These past couple days I’ve been going through all my boxes of miscellaneous pieces of paper. I just found an old notebook that I used during my last year of school, and this gem was on the final page;

I was recently doing a bit of a tidy-up and found something from my very first term from secondary school. It was a bit of a biog, with a past, present and future. In the part labelled future I had various drawings depicting where I wanted to go with my life.
Pleasingly, at the top of the page was WRITING! Then there was ACTOR – of course. This was followed by ARTIST – well, the pictures weren’t much cop but I could understand. But then there was …. ENGINEER – …. er, really?
I laughed.

That’s probably a lie, in that I’ll have deliberately forgotten all the embarassing ridiculous ones.
I used to really want to be an author, then I didn’t for a while, and now I kinda want to do scientific journalism which is heading back in that direction I suppose.
Anyway as regards increasing frequency of blog posts, I hope to keep it up!
